Creating Markets
Aura provides users the power to propose their own prediction markets. Community members with a valid staking tier (Iron or higher) can create engaging markets on various events, predictions, and topics.
Proposal Requirements
Before proposing a market, users must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Tier: Iron (or higher). Users without a valid tier must vault (stake) $AURA tokens first.
Deposit: A refundable deposit of 3 Alephium per market proposal.
Market Creation Process
Navigate to Proposal Form:
Click the "Propose Market" button located at the top-right corner of the Aura website.
Complete the Proposal Form:
Market Question: Clearly state the prediction event or outcome.
Category: Choose the appropriate category to help users find your market easily.
Market Rules: Provide clear, detailed instructions or conditions for resolving the market outcome.
End Date: Specify the exact date and time when the market will close.
Images and Links: Optionally add relevant images or links to support clarity and user engagement.
Submit Your Proposal:
Confirm the submission by authorizing the 3 Alephium deposit through your wallet.
Community Voting:
Your proposal enters a 24-hour community voting period.
Proposals with the most votes in the 24-hour voting period are considered for approval, but final acceptance also accounts for the current number of markets on the platform, recent average daily volume, and how many other proposals are active. This means even a highly-voted proposal might be rejected if the platform is at capacity.
Market Limits & Restrictions
To maintain platform quality and avoid spam, the following limits apply:
Cooldown: Users can propose one market per minute.
Daily Limit: Users are limited to a maximum of 5 proposals per day.
Quality Assurance: Proposals that don’t pass the voting and platform criteria are rejected (the proposer’s deposit is refunded). This ensures only markets that fit the platform’s current capacity and have sufficient community support get approved.
Following these guidelines ensures your market proposal is clear, appealing, and has the best chance of approval and success.
